About the Work
1981 drops you into the middle of the circle. A b-boy spins on flattened cardboard while the whole block leans in to watch, sneakers, hats, and hands pressing toward the center as the buildings tilt overhead. Justin BUA paints hip hop as it lived on the street: loud, communal, and open to anyone brave enough to step into the middle.
Music is more than sound.
It’s a bridge to a brighter tomorrow.
